I've seen a lot of posts, comments and threads regarding a post made by a police station here in the PH. The post itself provides tips and guidelines to avoid being a potential rape victim, however, people naturally found it offensive. Why is that? Is it really easier to expect people to suddenly change their ways instead of providing information that may help people avoid trouble? I'm not pro-rape here, but let's be honest, you can't expect drastic change overnight.
From my point of view, asking people not to rape is like asking fire not to burn things, there are those controlled fire (EG: cooking, campfire etc) then there are those wildfires, go figure.
What do you think? Discuss.
